Year Book Page

For the past two weeks, the year eights in the Toroa hub have been given time to create a yearbook page for us all to look back on in high school.  We got a few questions to answer to help us, here is my yearbook.

Spanish lessons

For the past two in the Toroa hub, we all have been learning about the Spanish language. Over the two weeks, I have learned how to count to ten, the days of the weeks, how to say the 12 months of the year, some colors and I have learned there are different words for feminine and masculine. We got tasks to help us recognize the Spanish colors like coloring in people's outfits and the instructions wherein Spanish.

Algebra Linear Equations

(Age+2)x2+4

In maths this week I have been learning how to do Linear Equations. I choose to do the letter U and every year it grows 1 block on each side. I made an equation on how to solve how many blocks there are at every age.

Swamp Media-Inquiry

In term 3 my hub has been learning about media we all got split into 4 groups. Radio, website, television and press media. I got to be a part of the website group we decided to call the website Swamp Media. All of the people in my website group got to pick what topic they wanted to make articles and quizzes about.
The topics where either entertainment, sport,  world news/ current affairs, and community. I was part of the sports group and made a few articles and quizzes about sport.

Toroa Leaders Poster

This is my Toroa and Google doodle. First, my hub got given a topic to do our google doodle on, I got the theme of Chinese New Year. Once we had finished our Google doodle we moved on to do our Toroa doodle. I based my Toroa doodle on the leaders at marshland school.

Goal Ladder Reflection

I know how to start and stop paragraphs now because I use IPARC to know when to start and stop.
In maths I read every question over twice so I can understand them and get them done quicker.

I have improved on goals from every subject so next term I will be working on the goals I did not complete this term

The toroa hub of Marshland school went on school camp at Wainui YMCA camp,we did lots of fun activities. This is my reflection on school camp.

In our hub for art we did graffiti art we all had to write our names on a blank rectangle and make it in to a graffiti brick.The aim was to express yourself through art.
